Dade City to take down City Hall building

Posted: Updated:
DADE CITY, FL (WFLA) -

Demolition crews started working on taking down the City Hall building in Dade City Wednesday morning.

Dade City officials told us, the crews would bring down the building in about a week; but it might be extra two to three weeks to finish the entire project.

Meridian Avenue from 5th Street just east of 4th Street will remain open for traffic. Officials warned they might have to close it a few times but for short periods of time.

Authorities will close 4th Street between Meridian Avenue and Pasco Avenue during the demolition.

The city officials ask drivers to use caution while traveling through the area.
