HARDEE COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

The Hardee County Sheriff's Office reports that on Tuesday, April 30, deputies arrested a local Hardee Junior High School teacher, Katherine Page Landress, 26.  Authorities say the arrest took place at the Hardee Junior High School in Hardee County.

Information was received that Landress possessed drugs in her vehicle that was in the parking lot of Junior High.  A Sheriff's Office K9 narcotics dog alerted to the vehicle and marijuana was discovered.

Authorities say Landress was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was booked into the Hardee County Jail with no incident. The Hardee County School Administration assisted and cooperated in this investigation.
