A Rockbridge County High school student is doodling for Google and it could mean thousands towards her college education and thousands for her school.
Kellie Nicely entered the "Doodle4Google" contest and was named the 2013 Virginia finalist.
If Kellie's drawing is voted the top pick Google will award her with a $30,000 college scholarship and Rockbridge County High School $50,000 to improve technology.
Her mom says this honor is years of hard work paying off.
"I can't believe that it's happening. It's pretty amazing," Kellie explained.
"My mother used to keep children and when all the kids got off the school bus they sat around the table to do their homework and Kelly was right there with them with a pencil drawing, so she's done this all her life," said Debbie Nicely, Kellie's mom.
Kellie had to create a drawing that illustrated her best day ever and she chose the day she learned to read.
