President Barack Obama will travel to Mexico in a trip that's expected to be dominated by trade and immigration. He'll meet with Mexico's president with most activities taking place at the National Palace in the heart of the capital.

Country singer George Jones will be laid to rest today as his public funeral is held today at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Congressman Robert Hurt will make several stops in Virginia today, including Lynchburg this morning. He'll be at Brookville High School where he'll congratulate a U.S. Naval Academy appointee.

Another nighttime detour is scheduled for I-81 south tonight beginning at 10 as part of the ongoing truck climbing project. Traffic will be detoured at exit 132 (Dixie Caverns) onto Route 11/460 and back onto I-81 at exit 118 (Christiansburg) until 6 Friday morning.

Friends of Stadium Woods will have a benefit concert at the Lyric Theater in Blacksburg tonight from 7:00-10:00 p.m.. It's a kickoff campaign to raise money for the Stadium Woods Endowment Fund.

The power of art is the focus of tonight's community fundraiser Love YAV in Roanoke. Young Audiences of Virginia, Inc. works to improve the education and literacy of children through an interactive, arts-in-education program tonight from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at 202 Market.
