SMITHFIELD, N.C. -

Four bystanders were seriously injured early Saturday in a shooting at N&N Sports Bar & Grill, the Smithfield Police Department said.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired at the restaurant, at 150 South Equity Drive about 1:30 a.m.

Smithfield police said Krystal Olymica David of Smithfield got into an argument with another woman over a male companion. David went to her vehicle and got a gun.

David then returned to the bar and opened fire, hitting four bystanders, police said.

Smithfield police said the injured bystanders are Elias Sanders, Charnise Jones, Cedric Mcerchrin and Felicia Jones. All sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

David was arrested and charged with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. David was placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.

Her first court appearance is scheduled on May 6 at 9 a.m.
