Roanoke's Center in the Square renovations nearing completion

DOWNTOWN ROANOKE -

The re-opening of "Center in the Square" in downtown Roanoke may be a few weeks away, but there is already plenty to see.

Crews are working to get exhibits and aquariums ready for customers.

The building has been renovated from top to bottom with an all new science and history museum.

Visitors will even be able to go up on the roof and walk around.

"It's been a lot of fun since I've been back getting in all new exhibits. I'm looking forward to getting those in and having those set up for the science museum," said Mark Hodges.

A gala is scheduled for this Saturday and the "Center in the Square" re-opens officially on May 18th.
