Hokies Lose Offensive Lineman

Posted: Updated:

The Hokies are losing important depth on the offensive line.

Hokiehaven.com's Jason Stamm confirms that backup guard and tackle Nick Acree has been declared medically ineligible.  The 6 5" 316 pound redshirt junior out of King William County, by way of Fork Union, has had chronic knee and back issues that have hindered his entire career.

Nonetheless Acree is a tireless worker who set a new Hokies bench press record at an astounding 505 pounds last fall.

He was listed as the backup left guard to David Wang to start 2013 spring practice.
