PULASKI COUNTY, VA -

Investigators with the Pulaski County sheriff's office said they're awaiting the results of the medical examiner's report to make the final call on a 6-year-old boy's death.

The boy died on Tuesday after a "cubby" fell on him at Busy B's Day Care on Lee Highway between Radford and Dublin.

The co-owner of the day care, whom declined to give her name, said initial reports of a "shelf" falling on the child by the sheriff's office, were incorrect.  The co-owner declined further comment until after the investigation is over.

She provided the following statement:

"Support from our parents and the community has been at an overabundance."

The owner called it a "tragedy."  She said enrollment has not declined.

The parents we talked to supported the day care.

"It's a good place," said Amanda Giles, who has two children at the day care.

"They do take good care of the kids."
