The man described as a person of interest in the disappearance of a mother from Fries in Carroll County, has been arrested in North Carolina.

According to the Randolph County, N.C. Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested Matthew Steven Jones this (Thursday) morning in connection with the robbery of Fidelity Bank in Ramseur, N.C.

A detective told our NBC affiliate WXII in Greensboro, N.C. that the FBI is also involved in the investigation, and searching for other suspect in connection with the bank robbery.

Back on April 30th, the Carroll County Sheriff's Office named Jones as a person of interest in the disappearance of Desia Rae George.  Relatives of George say Jones was her boyfriend.

George was last seen at her home in Fries in the middle of April.

WSLS has a call into the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, to get an update on the search for George.
