PULASKI COUNTY, VA -

Low-cost spay and neuter clinic Mountain View Humane, will be able to help more low-income pet owners in Pulaski County.

The Community Foundation of the New River Valley gave Mountain View Humane a $2,000 grant to create a "Prevent Another Litter Subsidy-Pulaski County" (PALS-P).  The money will be used to help lower the costs of having dogs and cats spayed or neutered for pet owners in need.

People who wish to take advantage of the lower prices will have to fill out an aid application form, to determine if they qualify.

MVH says the grant will help them lower costs as follows:

  • Cay spay: Normal cost: $58, after subsidy: $27
  • Cat neuter: Normal cost: $45, after subsidy: $15
  • Dog spay: Normal cost: $73, after subsidy: $38
  • Dog neuter: Normal cost: $68, after subsidy: $36

MVH says pet owners in Pulaski Count can call the Christiansburg clinic location at (540) 382-0222, or fill out the form online www.MountainViewHumane.org
