SUV crashes into two Roanoke County homes

ROANOKE COUNTY, VA -

11:20 a.m.

Roanoke County Police say the driver of the SUV is expected to recover from his injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.

8:50 a.m.

Roanoke County Police tell us a man is in the hospital, after he had a medical emergency, causing his SUV to crash into two houses just after 6:30 a.m.

Investigators are assessing structural problems with one of the homes, before they attempt to remove the SUV from the second house hit.

Officers say the SUV went off the side of Kingsmill Drive, near the Roanoke County-Salem line, and took out a corner of a house.  The SUV kept moving, and crashed into the basement of another house on Queensmill Drive.

No word on the driver's condition.

There were people in both houses at the time but no one was hurt.
