Deadly shooting outside Tampa strip club

Posted: Updated:
TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Police are investigating a deadly double shooting outside a Tampa strip club.

Around 2:10 AM on Saturday, security guards broke up a fight inside Hollywood Nites on North Howard Avenue.  Investigators say the people involved were forced to leave the club, and that's when the shooting started.

Wayne Thomas Lanier, 21, was hit.  Tampa police say he later died at Tampa General Hospital.  Another man, Omar Bacon, was treated and released from St. Joseph's Hospital.

Detectives are still looking for the shooter, or shooters.

This isn't the first time there's been a shooting outside Hollywood Nites.  In September 2012, someone opened fire on a car in the parking lot, hitting a man inside.
