British Prime Minister David Cameron will meet with President Barack Obama at the White House today where they're expected to address a broad range of shared global and regional security concerns including counter-terrorism and Syria's civil war.

Colorado movie theater suspect James Holmes will head to court today. It's believed he will plead not guilty by reason of insanity in the shooting that killed 12 people .

O. J. Simpson will be in a Las Vegas courtroom where he'll ask for what lawyers are calling a "Hail Mary Motion" asking for a new trial in the armed robbery and kidnapping case that sent him to jail in 2008. Simpson claims he had poor representation and the decision should be reversed.

Minnesota's Senate will take up same sex marriage in a vote that could add the state to the growing list of others allowing it. Democratic Governor Mark Dayton has promised to sign the legislation.

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's office will host the 2013 Peace Officer Memorial Service tonight to honor those who died in the line of duty. The 7:00 p.m. ceremony at Chatham Baptist will be followed by a candlelight vigil at the law enforcement memorial.

Governor Bob McDonnell will ceremonially sign Virginia's historic bi-partisan transportation funding bill this afternoon at 3:15. It will take place on the steps of the state capitol in Richmond.

A traffic alert in Roanoke County today where traffic on Route 688 (Cotton Hill Road) will be reduced to one lane near its intersection with Route 221 as part of a construction project. Weather permitting, the work will take about three weeks.

Roanoke City Council will meet and vote on its new budget this afternoon at 2:00.

Salem City Council will have a budget work session tonight from 5:00-7:30 p.m. They'll also hold a public hearing to consider mid-year budget adjustments.

A big donation to a local high school will be made today. The Narrows Athletic Fund will present a $20,000 check to Narrows High School this afternoon at 5:30.
