A teacher is accused of biting off part of his ex-girlfriend's ear.

Deputies said Twymon Antonio Arnold, a teacher at Washington Union Middle School in Roper, arranged a meeting with his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot of Pactolus School where an argument ensued.

Authorities said Arnold held her captive in the car for up to two hours and even bit off part of her ear before she was able to convince him to let her go.

She drove herself to Vidant Medical Center for treatment.

Arnold was charged with Maiming Without Malice, Assault on a Female and Kidnapping.
