U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will testify before the House Judiciary Committee this afternoon. The hearing will focus on several issues including the Boston Marathon Bombings, the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS and the Justice Department obtaining the telephone records of the Associated Press.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has summoned U.S. Ambassador Michael McFaul to appear today in connection with the case of a U.S. Diplomat accused of trying to recruit a Russian agent. Russia claims U.S. Embassy Secretary Ryan Fogle is a CIA officer, and Russian officials have ordered Fogle to leave the country. Fogle's diplomatic immunity protects him from arrest.

Construction will begin today on the Brantley-Airside transmission distribution line rebuild and upgrade project in Danville today. It won't be complete until October and at times, vehicular and/or pedestrian traffic will be re-routed around the construction.

President Barack Obama will speak at the 32nd Annual Peace Officers Memorial Service on Capitol Hill this morning--- a ceremony honoring law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty last year. President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15th a day to honor those men and women.

This year's Roanoke Valley Law Enforcement Memorial Service is today at 2:00 at Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church in Vinton. It's an annual event to honor officers throughout the area who gave their lives on the job.

The Christiansburg Police Department's memorial police vehicle will be dedicated on the front lawn of Town Hall today at 11. It's dedicated to the past, present, and future Americans who have served our country. It will be used during routine patrols through the summer.

Head to Vinton to offer input on the proposed Vinton Library. An architect will lead a discussion on elements that could be incorporated into their new library tonight at 7:00 at the Vinton War Memorial.

It's signing day for two GW Danville High School Athletes. Deneysha Goods will sign with Louisburg College and Khadijah Wilson will sign to play for Patrick Henry Community College this morning at 10.
