The Campbell County Sheriff's Office annual Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony is this morning at 11 at the Memorial Garden in front of the Sheriff's Office. It's held in remembrance of Deputy Jason Saunders and all fallen law enforcement officers, as part of national Law Enforcement Memorial Week.

Water releases from Appalachian Power's Claytor Hydroelectric Plant on the New River could fluctuate today beginning at noon. That's if the company needs to adjust flows for the New River Kayaking Event at McCoy Falls through Sunday.

The City will also launch a new program this afternoon at 1:00. Parks and Arts will bring performing and visual arts to neighborhoods via city parks. There will be a news conference at Jackson Park.
