A house hearing on domestic drones is set for today in Washington, D.C.. Controversy has surrounded the introduction of domestic unmanned aerial systems, commonly called "drones," for commercial, academic and law enforcement use. Witnesses from the ACLU, Brookings, Pepperdine University and Boston University are expected to brief members.

The visitation for Ashley Kimberlin Rodriguez, the mother Alleghany County Deputies say was shot and killed by her husband, is tonight from 7:00 to 8:30 at Loving Funeral Home in Covington. Her funeral is Saturday at 5:00 p.m..

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office will have a mock DUI traffic stop and arrest at the county high school this morning. They're doing it to remind students of some of the possible consequences of drinking and driving ahead of prom.

Virginia Adopts: Campaign for 1,000, kicks off today. It's an initiative to match more than 1,000 children in foster care in Virginia with 1,000 adoptive families. Governor Bob McDonnell will announce the start of the campaign at noon today in Richmond.

First Lady Michelle Obama will deliver the commencement address for students at Bowie State. She'll also receive an honorary doctor of laws degree.

More than 5,000 graduates will be honored at Virginia Tech's commencement in Lane Stadium at noon today. President Dr. Charles Steger who announced his retirement this week will deliver the address.

Danville Regional Medical Center's School of Health Professions Nursing program will graduate 28 students tonight. The ceremony is at 7:00 p.m. at White Oak Worship Center in Blairs.
