According to Roanoke City Police Department spokeswoman Aisha Johnson, the robbery took place around 9:38 p.m. on Thursday, May 16th, at the Snappy Food Mart in the 600 block of Liberty Road.

A store employee told officers that a man walked into the store with a baseball bat, and threatened to hit the employee.  The robber then stole money, and ran out.
