TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

He and others say a zero-percent card may make more sense.  Odysseas Papadimitriou, founder of cardhub-dot-com says if you're planning to vacation in another country, steer clear of credit cards that charge foreign transaction fees.

Both travel experts also say the cheapest way to convert to a foreign currency is by using a credit card.  By doing so, travelers save twice as much by using the card instead of currency exchange booths found mostly at airports.
