COVINGTON, VA -

Covington police say a mother pushed her child's stroller out of the way of a truck Monday morning right before it hit her.

Covington police chief J.B. Broughman said it was an accident but traffic-related charges are pending against the driver.

Broughman said he did not know the extent of any injuries to the mother or her child but said no injuries appeared to be life threatening.

It happened a few minutes after ten o'clock Monday morning on Paloma Drive in Covington, Broughman said.
