An anniversary program with a moment of silence will be held tonight in Joplin, Missouri to mark the deadly EF-5 tornado there two years ago today. It will be held at 5:41 local time, the exact time the tornado touched down.

Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax is having a blood drive today from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.. The Blood Mobile will be parked behind the hospital.

The Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau will announce a tourism promotion for Virginia's Blue Ridge today. The announcement will come during its annual meeting at 4:30 p.m. Tonight at BraeLoch in Vinton.

Middle and High school students of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) will showcase their new businesses and sell their products at the Connection 25 Expo tonight in Lynchburg. It's from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Liberty University's Schilling Center.

The Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame will announce the winners of 18 scholarships tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Hunting Hills Country Club.

Singer-songwriter Carole King will be at the White House tonight for the "In Performance at the White House" series. The President and Mrs. Obama will host a concert honoring King, who will also be awarded the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for popular song.
