A newly relocated Roanoke business is banking on the push to go green for its success.
Better Building Works moved into the former Starlight Bikes shop at the corner of Second and Kirk earlier this month. It specializes in making both residential and commercial businesses more energy efficient.
Owners say in the last five years, more people are taking an interest in energy savings. "More people have become more aware of the energy cost, the rising energy cost and as more people from the north move here, they've been accustomed to having energy audits or energy audits or energy audits being around," said Barry Martin, co-owner Better Building Works.
Martin says being downtown also gives them better access to contractors, architects and engineers.
