Fort Bragg soldier killed in Fayetteville motorcycle crash

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed Monday morning in Fayetteville as a Fort Bragg soldier.

Police say Dennis Trujillo, 28, was killed early Monday morning at the intersection of Stoney Point Road and Strickland Bridge Road in Fayetteville around 1:15 a.m. Trujillo was in the Untied States Army stationed at Fort Bragg.

Authorities say the Trujillo was traveling on Stoney Point Rd. towards Hope Mills when the driver left the roadway and struck a portion of railroad tracks.

Trujillo was ejected from the motorcycle and landed several feet away. The driver was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and died as a result of their injuries.
