ROANOKE, VA -

Virginia Lottery officials presented Alisha Freeman with a $1 million check for matching the first five numbers in Powerball. She bought the ticket at Wilco Food Mart in Christiansburg. If she would have matched the sixth number it would have been the $360 million jackpot.

The mother of two plans to take care of her family and save for future college expenses.

The Wilcox store that sold the ticket gets $10,000.

A Daleville man also won $250,000 in a Mega Millions drawing and was presented the check today.

Melvyn Watson is a retired banker who plans on using his winnings to help this church and help family and friends in need. He was one of five second prizewinners nationwide in that drawing and the only one in Virginia. If he matched one more number --- Mega Ball number--- he would've won the jackpot estimated at $139 million.
