HALIFAX, N.C. -

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of four additional suspects in the May 4 attempted murder case involving Michael Scott Hamilton.

Hamilton was charged with two counts of attempted murder for striking a female multiple times about the face and head with a baseball bat, and striking a male that come to her aide, law enforcement said. 

Joshua Wayne Fisher, 24, was charged and arrested for felony accessory after the fact  and common law obstruction for allegedly facilitating Hamiltons escape from the scene and obstructing the investigation into the matter, according to the sheriff's office. Fisher was given a $29,000 bond and has his first court appearance on June 12.

Joshua Brandon Dickens, 21, and Christopher Leon Mason, 38, were both charged with common law obstruction for aiding Fisher and obstructing law enforcement's investigation into the matter, the sheriff's office said.

Both Dickens and Mason received $5,000 bond and have their first scheduled court appearance on June 12.

Carol Harris Clemmons, 43, was charged communicating threats to the victim. Clemmons was given a $600 bond and has her first court appearance scheduled for June 12.
