Roanoke Police make arrest in Quick Way Mart robbery

ROANOKE, VA -

The Roanoke City Police Department says its officers have made an arrest in a convenience store robbery from late May.

According to 1st Sgt. Jason Holt, officers arrested 42-year-old Anthony Maurice Starr in connection with the robbery of the Quick Way Mart on Melrose Avenue.

Investigators say two men walked into the store on May 27th around 10:00 p.m., took out guns, and demanded money.  The robbers ran off before police arrived.

Officers say a second suspect has been identified, and is being investigated.
