Families and friends of those killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings will spend the day in Washington remembering the 20 children and six adults killed in December. The families will have a vigil followed by a news conference with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. They will read the names of the victims through the day.

Congressional leaders will recognize 86-year-old John Dingell who has represented Michigan since 1955, today. He's the longest serving member of Congress ever.

President Barack Obama will welcome members of the LGBT community to the White House this afternoon for a reception in celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month.

Ground will be broken this morning at 10 on the new IMAX theater at First & Main in Blacksburg. Town Council voted Tuesday to accept a rezoning request at the shopping district. Town leaders expect the Cinebowl and Grille to bring big financial gains to the area.

American National University is hosting a free Career Fair in Salem today from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. More than 30 employers will be there.. Some ready to hire on the spot.

Calvary Baptist Church's three day New River Youth Conference starts this morning. The fun and workshops take place at Calvary Baptist in Radford from 10:30 a.m.-7:30 through the 15th.
