Blacksburg Restaurant Week begins Sunday

Posted: Updated:

Restaurant Week is coming back to Blacksburg starting this weekend.

The seven day event runs Sunday to Saturday and features 25 deals on everything from meals to treats at several restaurants.

Most Virginia Tech students are on summer break right now which can make for a slower week for businesses. Restaurant owners say it's the perfect time to leave dinner to them. "Restaurant Week kind of came about last year with the Blacksburg Partnership as an opportunity to help drum up some sales for local restaurants during the point of time when students aren't here," said Mark Shrader, owner Bull & Bones Brewhaus. "It gives an opportunity for the locals to try maybe their old favorite restaurant or even a new favorite restaurant."

This is the third restaurant week Blacksburg has held. You'll find a link to the restaurants and the deals here.
