Husband accidentally sells $23k wedding ring in yard sale

Posted: Updated:

A California husband makes a $23,000 dollar mistake.  His wife, Racquel Coultier, got a big surprise when she returned home a week and a half ago after giving birth to her fourth son.

Before she headed to the hospital, she stashed her 3-carat wedding ring in a large watch box her husband Eric bought years ago.  Eric had no idea the ring was there and sold the box during a community garage sell.  Understandably, she has not gotten over it.

"I feel, I don't know, I feel naked," said Racquel.  "Every time you look down at your finger…I don't know why I keep crying about it.  I just want my ring back."

The ring, which cost around $23,000, was sold for only 10 bucks.  Two weeks later, the couple has no idea who the woman is who bought the box or whether she's lifted up the cushion inside and found the wedding ring.  It's not insured, so they're hoping someone will return it.
