Two people were injured after police say a Hummer crashed into a building in Danville early Saturday morning.

Police say around 2:39 a.m. a police officer was investigating a reckless driving complaint involving an orange Hummer at McDonalds on Old Riverside Drive.

Police say the driver, Kadeem Clark, 22, from Milton. N.C., sped off on Old Riverside Drive onto Tower Drive.

The officer was unable to catch up to the vehicle but found the Hummer crashed into the front doors of the American National Bank building, 103 Tower Drive.  The bank building was extensively damaged.

Police said Clark fled the scene but was arrrested in the Piedmont Mall parking lot, with an injury to his face and head.

Clark, along with a passenger in the vehicle, were taken to the Danville Regional Medical for treatment of injuries as a result of the crash.
