It's been just over 11 months since the three-alarm fire at General Truck Body Company that could be seen from all over the Roanoke Valley.
Today's grand reopening was a chance for the new owners to show off the company's new location to the public.
"The old business was burnt," says marketing specialist, Ben Dailey. "So we're having the grand opening to get everyone to know we've moved, we're back and in a new location."
While today marks the grand reopening, the company has been fortunate enough to continue working throughout the last year. After the fire in July, they moved to a location in Forest. Then in January, a new owner took over, moving them to their brand new location in February. They say today's event has been a long time in the making.
It's also a chance for them to tell the public about some of the new things they're able to do now as well. By working together with their sister location in Forest, they're able to do more now than ever before.
