President Barack Obama will lay out his plan to tackle climate change today. He's expected to call for the EPA to set new carbon emissions limits for new and existing power plants.

Voters will head to the polls in Massachusetts to choose a new senator today. Democratic Congressman Ed Markey faces Republican Gabriel Gomez to fill the senate seat vacated by John Kerry.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel will host the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender pride month event at the Pentagon today. It's the first time a sitting secretary of defense will attend a Pentagon pride gathering.

Carilion Clinic is having a ribbon cutting for the Life-Guard 10 hangar at Westlake Center in Hardy this morning starting at 9:30. Tours of the hangar, crew quarters, and emergency transportation vehicles will be given.

Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated will have an open house and ribbon cutting this morning at 11:30 in Roanoke. The bottling company will unveil its new Sales & Distribution Center.

The winners of Virginia's 2013 Outstanding Senior Volunteer will be recognized at Our Lady of the Valley Retirement Community in Roanoke this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. 81 and 80 year-old Lyndell and Peggy Bryant are being recognized for their work with Roanoke Valley Greenways and Roanoke Appalachian Trail Club.

VDOT will have a citizen information meeting on a proposed project to replace the Interstate 81 bridges over the New River and the Route 232 bridge over I-81 on the Montgomery and Pulaski County line. The meeting is tonight from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building in Radford.

Meet the 2013 Miss Virginia contestants tonight from 7:00-9:00 p.m.. The opening dessert reception will be held at the Hotel Roanoke.
