The head of the IRS will face more questions this morning from Congress. Commissioner Danny Werfel will testify on the IRS' own 30 day review into the practice of discriminating against applicants for tax exempt status.

The Senate could vote as soon as today on an immigration reform bill that includes a path to citizenship for 11 million immigrants living in the U.S. A test vote Wednesday showed the bill would likely pass the Senate, but the House of Representatives is less certain.

The Senate's Environment and Public Works Committee will also hold a hearing this morning on chemical threats. The hearing will focus on avoiding disasters like April's West, Texas fertilizer plant explosion.

Actor James Gandolfini will be laid to rest today in New York City. The 51-year-old died of a heart attack last week in Rome. Gandolfini is best known for playing Tony Soprano on the HBO series The Sopranos.

Today is the kickoff to the 60th Buchanan Carnival in Botetourt County. the carnival runs today through July 6 at the Buchanan fairgrounds.

The 2013 Miss Virginia Pageant begins tonight at 7:30 at the Roanoke Civic Center Performing Arts Theater.The winner will be crowned Saturday night.

The 2013 Draft takes place tonight in New York City. The Cleveland Cavaliers hold the first pick, but who they will choose is still very much a mystery.
