New Campaign Causes Overfow at SPCA

Posted: Updated:

Martinsville, VA - Martinville's SPCA recently launched a new campaign to help save the lives of animals scheduled to be euthanized. As a result of the no-kill initiative, the shelter has taken in many animals from area pounds.

The facility is built to hold approximately 60 cats, but currently is in possesion of about 170.

In an effort to find all of those felines a home, the shelter has started a new adoption program. Anyone who makes a donation to the no-kill campaign can take a cat home free of charge.
