Problems continue with new NC Medicaid system

RALEIGH, N.C. -

The problems with North Carolina's new Medicaid billing system, NC Tracks, continue.

It went live Monday.

Providers across the state complain they can't access the system, and when they call the number to get help, some are on hold for more than an hour.

While providers fear the system and the plan to implement it were not ready to go live, the state said the system is processing claims.

A spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services said they've added more call center workers to help respond to questions.
