Raleigh Fireworks

Fireworks begin on Fayetteville Street at 9:15 p.m. and then again from the Red Hat Amphitheater at 10:15 p.m. The Fourth of July event will start at noon and continue until 11 p.m.

Schedule of Events

Getting around downtown:
The following streets will be closed from Wednesday, July 3 at 7 p.m. until Friday, July 5 at 2 am: The 100, 200, 300 and 400 blocks of Fayetteville St. from Morgan St.to the south end of the City Plaza. The Marriott Circle will remain accessible. The 00 blocks of Hargett, Martin and Davie St. will be closed. The following streets will be closed from 9:15 p.m. until 10:15 p.m. on July 4 for safety measures surrounding the early fireworks show: the 00 blocks of Lenoir and South St. and the 600 blocks of Wilmington and Salisbury St.

In addition, the following streets will be closed from 10 p.m. until 10:45 p.m. on July 4 for safety measures surrounding the later fireworks show: S. Dawson St. from W. Lenoir St. to MLK Blvd., W. South St. from S. Dawson St. to S. McDowell St., S. McDowell St. from MLK Blvd. to W. Lenoir St. All parking spaces on the east side of the 500 block of Fayetteville St. from the south end of the City Plaza to Lenoir St. will be encumbered. The granting of these closures gives grantee sole and exclusive use of the designated areas, including sidewalks within the enclosed area during the designated dates and times.

Cary Fireworks

Doors at Koka Booth Amphitheatre open at 3 p.m. Kids activities will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The North Carolina Symphony will perform on the main stage at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks immediately following the concert.

Durham Fireworks

On Thursday, July 4, the Durham Bulls welcome the division rival Norfolk Tides for a two game series. Immediately following the 6:05pm game the Bulls will host the City of Durham's official Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza.

Garner Fireworks

The Town of Garner will hold it's July 4th celebration on Friday, July 5 at Lake Benson Park. It was scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, but has been moved due to recent weather forecasts. Details on the revised entertainment schedule will be posted when that information becomes available.

Chapel Hill fireworks

Chapel Hill will celebrate the Fourth at Kenan Stadium. A watermelon-eating contest will begin at 7 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Recommended parking for event patrons in the Craige, Jackson and Cardinal parking decks off of Manning Drive and the Rams Head Deck off ridge road. The Bell Tower lot is open to public and is also assigned disability parking.

Fuquay-Varina fireworks

Fuquay-Varina will hold its celebration July 3 at South Park on South Main Street, with gates opening at 6 p.m. Fireworks begin at dark. Residents can bring coolers, but no alcohol and no dogs.

Fayetteville fireworks

Celebrate July 4th at the Swamp, home of the Fayetteville SwampDogs. Festivities include live music and plenty of family friendly entertainment, with a fireworks display to begin at 9:30 p.m. Citizens are asked to complete a form on the Swampdogs website to request tickets. Gates will open at J.P. Riddle Stadium at 3 p.m.

Fayetteville "Red, White and You" July 4th Concert and Fireworks is from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled to go off around 9:15 p.m. at Festival Park.

Hope Mills fireworks

Don't miss the annual Hope Mills July 4th Celebration. It begins at 10 a.m. with a parade. Then come to Party in the Park with plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy including children's activities, food, games, music and more! When the sun goes down the fireworks display will begin around 9 p.m.

Carthage celebration

The annual Fourth of July parade will be held Thursday, July 4, at 11 a.m. in downtown Carthage. The parade runs along Monroe Street to the County Courthouse.

Pinehurst fireworks

A celebration at Pinehurst Harness track on N.C. Highway 5 begins at 5 P.m. followed by live music and fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Clayton fireworks

The celebration starts at 4 p.m. and is capped by a nearly 30-minute light and music show beginning around 9:30 p.m. over Municipal Park, just off Stallings Street in downtown Clayton. Attendees will have the chance to enjoy free ice cream, free watermelon and free games for the kids.

Apex celebration

Downtown Apex will celebrate July 4th with an Olde Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration. Downtown streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Things will kick off with a flag raising at 9 a.m. and a parade at 12 p.m. Parking will be available in the lot on Saunders Street, at Town Hall and Apex Community Center (with a short walk), and all along the side streets near Salem St.
