Roanoke police chase ends with arrest

A man faces several charges after a police chase, involving Virginia State Troopers and Roanoke Police, stretched across Roanoke City and Roanoke County Friday evening.

Sergeant Alfice of Virginia State Police tell us the chase started shortly after 5:30 P.M. on Melrose Avenue.

The chase lasted about 20 minutes until it ended on Downing Street in Roanoke County.

Sergeant Alfice says the driver of the car, Jamie Boudreaux, was arrested about 20 minutes after chase began.

Boudreaux faces several charges including driving with a suspended license, felony eluding police, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving the wrong way down a street.
