18-year-old charged with killing teen in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police have charged an 18-year-old in connection with killing a 17-year-old Wednesday evening in Durham.

Officers were dispatched to a gunshot wound just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 in the 3400 block of Freeman Road. When officers arrived, they found a man dead in the road.

Police have charged Jaaron Joyner, 18, with murder in connection with incident.

Police have identified the victim as Dion Omari Williams. Police say Williams and Joyner knew each other.

Witnesses say there may be other suspects.
