Blacksburg launches new website

BLACKSBURG, VA -

Blacksburg is inviting you to step into town. The Blacksburg Partnership just launched the website Step into Blacksburg to give users a sort of one stop shopping experience for all things Blacksburg.

Log on and you'll find four main sections-- live, explore, get around and work. The partnership says its designed to help residents keep on top of activities and also visitors and people looking to move to the area.

"It's for residents and visitors alike," said partnership director Diane Akers. "If you live here, its a quality of life website. You can find out what's happening in Blacksburg. If you want to visit here, you can find out about housing. If you want to move here you can find out about daycare. You can find where there are job applications on there. It's a great site to explore."

Step into Blacksburg also has a community calendar you can use to look up events or even submit your own.
