Fresh out of college, a group of Virginia Tech graduates form a theater company and are already on a mid Atlantic tour.
Critical Point Theatre is based in Blacksburg. The ensemble is made up of about a dozen performers. It's not your traditional theater. The group performs both classic and original pieces while engaging the audience. "I think it's really important as graduates with a theatre degree we don't just step into let's move to New York, move to L.A. try to fit ourselves into what other people are doing," said performer Alex Burns. "There is a whole country worth of theatre artists and film artists that have worked really hard and have practiced and they are ready to perform."
Critical Point Theatre has already performed in Blacksburg and Washington, D.C.. They'll perform Craig Wright's, The Pavilion" at the June M. McBroom theater in Roanoke Friday and Saturday.
