Wilmington man beats vehicle, claims devil was inside

WILMINGTON, N.C. -

A man in Wilmington was charged early Thursday morning after beating a car, claiming the devil was inside, WECT reported.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person and a possible breaking and entering in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street around 6:00 Thursday morning.

WECT reported when they arrived, officers found a man who was impaired and had bloody knuckles. That's when they learned he was beating a vehicle because he thought the devil was inside.

According to police, the man, Adam Love, was charged with breaking and entering and property damage.
