Normally when you do a story about a shark you do a stand-up on the beach but not this time.  See these fishermen don't want to tell me where their fishing hole is.  It's not just to protect their spot

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -

News Channel 11 has learned an embattled doctor can no longer practice medicine after his license was suspended by the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners.

A document obtained by News Channel 11 shows the board took into consideration some evidence presented by the state showing Dr. Allen "engaged in unprofessional and unethical conduct and is unsafe to practice medicine."  Click here to read the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners report.

Thursday evening we found a sign posted on the gate of the Castle Clinic in Johnson City saying: "The castle clinic is closed. Due to doctor Allen's decision to close the business, we are no longer in business." The sign included a number patients can call to get their medical records: 423-979-6257.

Police arrested Dr. Robert C. Allen on June 9th and charged him with evading arrest, reckless driving, drug possession and prohibited weapons violations.

Police say he was driving at extremely high speeds through the downtown area. Officers tracked Allen to his home, where they say they found marijuana and guns in his car. An officer observed Allen that day wearing a bath robe, underwear, and some type of cordage around his neck.

Dr. Allen was scheduled to appear in court last week, but a judge reset his court appearance for August 19.

According to the board of Medical Examiner's report, when a health investigator tried to interview Dr. Allen on June 11 at the Washington County Jail: "For her safety, the jail personnel did not allow her to meet with Dr. Allen in the same room, stating Dr. Allen had been violent on that day." According to the report, jail personnel placed the investigator in one room, and Dr. Allen in another with a pane of glass separating the two.

Dr. Allen allegedly said in that interview, "I don't want to practice medicine anymore. I quit!" The report stated "Dr. Allen became very angry. He pressed his face against the glass and said I'm done. I'm done with you, the board and anything you stand for. You got that? You can go back to wherever you came from."

The health investigator also talked to Dr. Allen's staff. "The consensus from the staff was that Dr. Allen had not been himself for the past few weeks to few months."

Dr. Allen was admitted to Woodridge Psychiatric Hospital on June 12.
