RALEIGH, N.C. -

Raleigh police said a 40-year-old man died from an accidental fall early Saturday morning.

Officers and detectives with the Raleigh Police Department responded to a check-in-with-EMS call around 12:45 a.m. at 6011 Osprey Cove Drive, authorities said. Upon arrival, a deceased male, who was later identified as Justin Wayde Snyder, was found outside the residence.

Police said an investigation found one of Snyder's arms sustained a laceration wound during a fall, and he died shortly afterwards as a result of that injury.

Police are classifying the death as accidental.
