A local author hopes sharing the ups and downs of his own life will help others find new meaning in their's.
Duane Lee recently published his autobiography called "A Walk Back to Sanity" which details his rise to success and his longing for a more fulfilling life.
He made his living as the Vice President of a multi-million dollar building company in Roanoke, but says his success never made him happy. He says that led to alcohol problems and thoughts of suicide.
Ultimately, he says faith helped turn his life around and he began volunteering at prisons and Hospice facilities.
"I hope that it touches some people and gives them hope," said Lee. "If there's one thing all of us need, it's hope."
The book is available online on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble's website. It's also being sold in Barnes & Noble stores.
Lee says he plans to donate all profits from the book to charities that help feed hungry children.
