Council voted 4-to-3 to raise its pay effective July 1, 2014.
The yeas were Bowers, Trinkle, Bestpitch and Price.
The nays were Ferris, Lea and Rosen.
Roanoke City Council is set to finalize its ten percent pay increase at this afternoon's regular meeting inside council chambers.
A vote of 4-to-3 for the pay increase two weeks forced one more vote, or second reading, on the issue.
If the proposal is passed, the mayor's salary will go to $22,000
The vice mayor's salary will increase to $18,216.
A seat on city council will earn $17,116 annually.

Tuesday is the first night for volunteers enrolled in this fall's Citizen's Academy. Some choose to continue that training through the Citizens on Patrol Academy.
