RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Raleigh start-up wants to become synonymous with wedding planning.

WedPics helps the bride- and groom-to-be capture their love by offering a free app for wedding attendees to share the magic moments. The app allows guests to upload photos from a wedding to a page created by the bride and groom specifically for sharing nuptial memories.

CEO and founder Justin Miller launched the service in August 2012 and is already capturing 2,500 I Do's every weekend.

"We now have over a quarter million users with over 60,000 weddings that have signed up to use WedPics," Miller said. "We're not going after replacing the photographer. We are looking to be an extension to the photographer."

Kat Kim and her then-fiancé Eddy used the service to supplement their professional wedding photographs. Kat and Eddy still hired a professional for the traditional staged shots, but WedPics helped them see the special moments they missed from the lenses of their loved ones.

"It's really fun to see pictures from the party from your friends' point of view, your family's point of view," Kat said. "We had a best time at the airport -- waiting for our flight, looking at pictures that everyone posted."

The app, which is a free download, is a cost-effective alternative to disposable cameras, and i offers a way for attendees to instantly share their photos with the bride and groom without posting them to social networks like Facebook.

"The number one difference is that it's a private network," Miller explained. "The only way to get into WedPics is to have an access code or password that the couple provides to you."

While the service itself is free, Miller said WedPics also offers new couples the opportunity to print full resolutions prints at a cost.

"When we developed WedPics, we knew that printing would be a big opportunity," Miller said. "So we actually developed a technology that would maintain the full resolution of the image regardless of if it comes from an iPhone or an SLR camera."

For Kat and Eddy Kim, WedPics captured the priceless moments.

"It helped us relive the entire wedding," Kat said.
