A local refugee soccer team hopes to find a sponsor for this week's Commonwealth Games and to pay for new uniforms.
20 men are on the Lion Football Team, but they come from 10 different war torn countries, mostly in Africa.
Assistant Coach Caesar Kalamandala was one of the first players on the team.
He recalls what soccer meant to him as a young refugee from South Sudan.
"I felt like I'm at home because I'm here with my fellow Africans or refugees I might say. It definitely helped me feel like I am at home. Our language wasn't that good, but when we come here to the field we only have one language, which is soccer."
If soccer is the player's language then you can say the team is fluent thanks to the coaches, who say they keep the young men on the field and out of trouble.
If you would like to sponsor the team email Coach Mohamud Mahdi at email@example.com.
