The Franklin County Department of Public Safety is adding on to its Westlake fire station, director of public safety Daryl Hatcher confirmed.
Right now the county has to keep an ambulance outside at Station 15.
It has to keep a fire truck off site in order to keep it in out of the weather.
The location is not far from Station 15, Hatcher said.
The county is working together with the current landlord at Station 15.
The landlord will build a garage on the property that will house the ambulance and the fire truck.
The county will then lease the garage from the landlord, Hatcher explained.
Hatcher said the lease price for the garage will be about the same they're paying for now.
The Federal Aviation Administration has lifted its ban on U.S. flights to Israel, which it had imposed out of concern over the risk of planes being hit by Hamas rockets.
A plane attempting to land in stormy weather crashed on a small Taiwanese island late Wednesday, killing 47 people and wrecking houses and cars on the ground.
