CARY, N.C. -

Police are investigating a recent spree of residential break-ins within the last month in the Town of Cary.

Police say the break-ins mostly took place in the daytime hours between June 16 and July 16. Suspects are believed to have pried open locked doors and windows to steal jewelry, cash, video games and electronics.

Police are asking residents in Cary to be vigilant and to report any suspicious or unfamiliar vehicles and pedestrians.

Residents can book a home safety inspection that's offered by the Town of Cary at no cost. A police officer come to a person's home and outline physical weaknesses in and around the home and offer low-cost suggestions on how to improve safety and security.

Anyone with information on these recent break-ins is asked to call the Cary Police Department at 919-469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746.
