Durham PD need help solving 2009 fatal shooting

DURHAM, N.C. -

Police in Durham are looking for information about a 2009 fatal shooting on Ross Road. 

Jose Luis Gonzalez, 49, was shot in the parking lot of Charlestown Apartments in the 2800 block of Ross Road on April 27, 2009. 

Gonzalez was taken to a hospital for treatment and was released. Police investigated the assault but did not have enough evidence to file charges in the case. 

Gonzalez's condition worsened and he died as a result of his injuries in October 2010. 

Durham police continues to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Cristaldi at 919-560-4440 or CrimeStoppers at 919-683-1200.
